Total Eclipse

We made the six-hour drive yesterday to visit family and to be within the path of totality today. This has been one of the most incredible experiences!

We watched with our special glasses, the kids made up different ways to view through pin holes in paper, and they watched shadows through the leaves on the trees.

We watched our small part of the world go dark, we listened as the cicadas sang their tunes in the middle of the day, and we stood in awe as the dazzling white of the sun peeked from around the shadow of the moon. It’s easy to say, we’ve never seen anything else like this.

From the wonderful visits we’re having with family to the viewing of the eclipse, today has been truly unforgettable!
